Frequently asked questions
- Are both ends counted?
- No — the answer is the number of days between them, so 1 to 2 March is one day. Add one if you are counting nights in a hotel or days of a holiday.
- What counts as a working day?
- Monday to Friday. Public holidays vary by country and by region, so they are not deducted — treat the number as a ceiling.
- What is 31 January plus one month?
- 28 February, or 29 in a leap year. Adding a month clamps to the end of the shorter month rather than spilling into March, which is what a monthly invoice date means in practice.
