Questions
- How is this different from kivotool.com, which is free?
- The tools are the same, and the website stays free. Self-hosted, KIVO runs on your server: it does not depend on our site, collects no analytics, works without the Internet, and your IT team can approve it like any other internal software.
- Do files go through your servers?
- No, in neither version: every tool works in the user's browser. Self-hosted, the app itself also comes from your network instead of the Internet.
- What happens after 12 months?
- Nothing stops. You keep using your version for good. If you want newer versions, renew updates for another year at 40% of the plan's price: paste your licence on the renewal page.
- How can I pay? Do I get an invoice?
- By card or PayPal. Payment goes through Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record: it charges your country's VAT and issues the invoice. EU businesses can enter their VAT number at checkout.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes: kivotool.com is the same program. Try the tools you need there, with your own files.
- What server do I need?
- A Linux x86-64 server with Docker, or Docker Desktop on Windows or macOS. 1 CPU and 512 MB of RAM are enough. For ARM servers, write to us.
