What it does
Trim Video reads the whole document before doing anything, so what comes back is either valid output or a specific error with the position that caused it — not a partially rewritten file.

Limits and caveats
Key order is preserved as it appears in the input. Very large documents are limited by your device's memory rather than by an upload cap, since the parsing happens locally. Everything happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

- Does trimming lose quality?
- No. The streams are copied rather than re-encoded, so the result is bit-for-bit the original footage — and it takes a second rather than minutes.
- The cut starts slightly early.
- Because a copied stream can only start at a keyframe, and keyframes are a second or two apart. Getting an exact frame means re-encoding, which costs the quality and the speed — convert it instead if you need that.
