When you need it
Usually because something downstream has an opinion: a profile photo that must be square, a marketplace that rejects anything over a certain width, a print that needs the right proportions, or a phone photo that arrived rotated.
Limits and caveats
Enlarging an image cannot add detail that was never captured, so scaling up softens it. Saving to a lossy format re-encodes the pixels, which is worth doing once rather than repeatedly on the same file. Everything happens in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

- Drop the image you're about to post.
- Pick the platform. The red areas are its own interface.
- Move anything important out of them, then download the fitted file.
Frequently asked questions
- Are the red areas exact?
- They're deliberately generous. Platforms move their interfaces between releases and between phones, so a margin that's slightly too cautious costs you nothing, while one that's slightly too tight costs you a repost.
- Does the download have the red boxes on it?
- No. Those are guides on screen only. You get your image fitted to the frame, with nothing burned in.
- Do my files get uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
