- No. It means the IBAN is typed correctly — the right length and check digits that add up. Whether the account is open and whose it is, only the bank can say.
- What is the CIN?
- The letter after the two check digits in an Italian IBAN, a second check over the bank, branch and account. An IBAN can pass the international check with a wrong CIN, and the bank then rejects it — so it is checked separately.
